Insight On Something While Damaged

Do you really know love
Love without insight is like having not been held close in your lifetime
To never know what it feels like to have someone to keep you warm
To have someone to tell you a funny joke or make you mad as hell
To be open to it and accept it
You see, love, all by itself, can make things good or make things bad
It is what it is
A party made for only two
A recipe that needs as little or as much cooking time to rise to the top
Love is what we all need, just as much as we all need air to breath, water to drink - it’s portion makes us human
A possession that many seek and few attain
Love desires to be heard, to be spoken, to be shown through endless efforts
For we never know when love will roll a crap shoot and we lose
Love deserves respect just as any other person in this world
And most of all, love deserves more love
